Hon Muntu, we will support you during the 2016 elections. Besigye must be left to finish what he started. He is our founding father in the FDC. be patient, i assure you as an FDC FAMILY MEMBER, we need you and will support you.
FDC has the potential if you can organize afresh with new message. package the old messages anew and aggressively target the rural communities. Do a party SWOT analysis. Then do another voter’s SWOT analysis. Profile your audiences according to their needs and expectations and target them with Information, education and communication messages that address these needs in their own languages. Use SMS text messaging to reach as many as possible in local languages and English as well. Go to a house-to-house awareness-no abusive language, engage in a one-on-one consultative discussions and listen to the concerns of the people. Engage professionals to design a communication strategy with specific objectives that will be evalusted from time to time. Engage the young people with their needs and give them the power to change affairs of their country from a logical perspective. Appeal to reason as much you do to emotions and provide concrete answers. Begin slowly and build up to the elections bombarding the electorate with repetitive messgaes that can be remembered to the voting booth. Good luck
